2006 Funding Support Received

The International Iguana Foundation received a total of $20,600 in funding from four granting agencies in 2006.

The Jamaican Iguana Recovery Program received a $5,000 grant from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (a joint program with Conservation International).

The annual Mazuri Exotic Animal Nutrition Grant, awarded by the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, provided $5,500 to support Ricord’s Iguana conservation in the Dominican Republic.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service supported surveys and training workshops for Ricord’s Iguana in the Dominican Republic through their Wildlife Without Borders grant totaling $8,600.

Fijian Iguanas benefitted from $1,500 awarded by the Audubon Nature Institute.
