The International Iguana Foundation gratefully acknowledges non-board institutions and individuals whose annual gifts of $1,000 or more sustain our conservation efforts
The Milwaukee County Zoo has been a long-time supporter of the IIF by providing unrestricted funding, in-kind donations of field equipment, and staff time volunteering with conservation programs. Most notably, staff have contributed to the success of the Jamaican Rock Iguana recovery program since the early 1990s, assisting with the headstart program at the Hope Zoo as well as in the forest of the Hellshire Hills.
The East Coast Zoological Foundation has been an annual supporter of the IIF since 2010, providing essential unrestricted funds that support a variety of grants for species recovery. Their support is provided by the ECZF Conservation Fund, funding which comes from tickets and memberships sold at Brevard Zoo. In addition, the Brevard Zoo helps to educate the public on the issues affecting Caribbean endangered species through its exhibit of a pair of Grand Cayman Blue Iguanas (Cyclura lewisi).
Bill and Kathy Holmstrom have been champions for iguana conservation and a financial supporter of the IIF since 2014. Bill began his career in herpetology as a reptile keeper at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo, New York, in 1976. As Department Supervisor and Collection Manager since 1988, he participated in WCS research and conservation projects around the world. Now retired, the Holmstroms continue to support the species they love, particularly turtles and iguanas.
